Body systems are a foundational aspect of herbal trainings. Get a taste of how we teach body systems in The Community Herbalist with a glimpse into the cardiovascular system. During this hour we’ll explore energetics, basic anatomy and physiology, spirit medicine, and cardio tonics. This is a great introduction for anyone interested in The Community Herbalist or simply curious about body systems from an herbal perspective.

What Everyone Gets Wrong About Tonics

Thursday, August 28th from 5-6pm PT via Zoom

Within herbalism ‘tonic’ can describe herbs that feed and nourish the body. It can also signal herbs that tone tissue through astringent or stimulating actions. These definitions seem antithetical, so how do we discern meaning from such a common classification of herbs? During this hourlong class we’ll dig into all things herbal tonic and attempt to dispel the contradictions.
